Useful information for your stay

Bookings for all cottages are usually Friday to Friday during Peak Season. We take weekend bookings and mid-week bookings throughout the rest of the year.

Entry times to the cottage:
Arrival: 4.30pm onwards
Day of departure: 10am

Housekeeping + Woodburner

There is a wood burner please note there will be a starter kit of kindling and logs set up in the cottage for your arrival.
You will then be able to purchase logs locally at Exford village shop or Mole valley Farmers in South Molton.

We provide all of the following:

  • Fairy liquid
  • Dishwashing tablets (2)
  • Toilet rolls
  • Tea towels and oven gloves
  • Bath towel/hand towel per person.
  • Bed linen

Please let us know how you would like the make up of beds (twin/ double) so we can ensure they are ready for you on arrival.

Food and Drink

The Exmoor Forest Inn with its excellent menu, is located just across the road from the cottages.

Bringing Pets

There is a small extra charge of £20 per dog per stay and 2 dogs maximum in the property.

Parking

There is ample parking, however, please be considerate to others when doing so to avoid restricting other spaces. Any more than one car per booking must provide prior notification for alternative parking arrangements to be made.

DIY Stabling is available in our 2 stables at Birch Cleave Barns with prior arrangement before arrival.

Please bring your own bedding and feed. Bedding to be pellets or woodshavings only.

A water tap is located adjacent to the stables, and a hose is provided.

The stables must be left as they were found, with all materials removed to the designated area.

Cost: £15 per night, per stable.
